21.08.10Richardson looks forward to Silverstone fight back
Porsche Carrera Cup GB driver George Richardson experienced a frustrating outing at Silverstone today during qualifying for rounds 13 and 14 of the series. Despite the extremely close lap times throughout the ultra-competitive field, Richardson, who is supported by Henderson Insurance Brokers, is confident of strong results come the races tomorrow.
Competing in the Pro-am 2 class, Richardson produced a best time of 58.960s to go 3rd fastest for round 13, before recording a 59.059s lap to qualify 3rd once again for round 14.
After qualifying, 18 year old Richardson from Alderly Edge who is the youngest driver in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB field said, "It's been quite a frustrating day. We missed out on pole by just a tenth of a second, but it goes to show how competitive we are. We've shown we have good race pace so I'm looking forward to the races tomorrow and putting in a good fight for some strong results."
