About George Richardson
Nineteen-year-old George Richardson joined the Motorbase Performance Team back in 2008 on a planned multi-year basis. The agreement was to use the 2009/10 season as a development year to allow George to get a better understanding of the series and the car before committing to a specified class.
Following an amazing year in 2010, which saw George claim 3rd position in the Pro-am 2 championship, secure numerous podiums and four race victories, the Manchester-based business student will compete the Pro-am 1 class in 2011. George will drive the all new 2011 Porsche Carrera GT3 Cup Car as he aims to pitch his talents against the best in the class.
Despite his young age, George had first his taste of racing at just nine years old. After competing in various on and off-road motorcycle championships, he progressed to four wheels in 2007 in the Ginetta Championship, finishing sixth in 2008. His ultimate goal is to race in the World Touring Car Championship.
